I have been a L.M.T since 2000 and a shiatsu practitioner since 2006. I hold a state of Maryland license and I am also nationally certified in therapeutic massage and bodywork therapies.
My approach to bodywork is geared more for the individual and not just the type of massage. In my practice I offer diffrent types of massage, but I charge a flat rate for the time. Each body is diffrent and unique and every person needs something diffrent from there bodywork.
I started my career in spas with just a few regular clients that I saw at my private practice. Working at high volume spas gave me an oppurtunity to work on many, many diffrent types of bodies with all kinds of issues. It was a valuable experience, but I mainly provided swedish "spa hour" massages. I have moved on from that type of bodywork.
Currently I offer Therapeutic massage and Shiatsu to work on specific problems, but I also give a wonderful hour swedish session. I have invested over 1200 hours in bodywork training.
